Yearning for Yesteryear

Lost a lot of respect for Modders over how he's handling his wanting to leave Spurs.  Some points that have made him Soooooo beloved by the sport fan who just can't get enough of mondern day athletic greed.
  • Reneging on a multi-year contract one year after signing it is always going to endear you to the fans that have been patient during your slow adaptation to English footy and long spell injuries.
  • Purposely naming a single team as your preferred destination really gives your current club a lot of bargaining power, if getting what you want is the name of your game.
  • Saying you wont hand in a transfer request because it's "disrespectful" then whining about an argument with the chairman after forcing his hand. Complaining that a so called gentleman's agreement, that in my eyes you broke by stating your preferred destination to the media in first place.  Then handing in that disrespectful transfer request a week or 2 later.
  • Waiting til just 2 or 3 weeks back to begin this soap opera.
Maybe I'm just out of touch.   Or maybe this isn't as a wise man once said "Buddies".

I actually wouldn't mind seeing this little weasel benched for the year as a lesson to all like minded euro players.  Probably wont happen.

I really don't fault him for his wanting to leave.  It's his career.  There's just classier ways of going about it, I think.

This is coming from a fan who has followed him since he broke onto the scene with the Croatian national team 5 years ago and defended his playing style against people critical of his lack of goals and assists.

A klog of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy

Flashback to the Demented Mind of Karlos During the Gammage Era

A few things I found on my other hard drive from the early to mid 00's that gave me a laugh.

Feeling Hawkish?

Yesterday I was in the kitchen and out of the corner of my eye I spotted something big and white on the fence through the window. I originally though "What the eff, is that the neighbours dog on the fence?" On closer inspection it turned out to be one of those feathered flying machines called a hawk.  It was pretty cool to have it so close and in the middle of the city.  I scrambled to get my camera only to find out that my battery was dead.  Through it in the charger while watching chicken 2.0 in the window.  After 30 seconds I grabbed the battery and threw it in my cam.  I wanted to make sure I got at least one pic.  Well I did, but I didn't have time to adjust the settings then the battery died.  Back in the charger for 30 seconds.  At this time a squirrel climbed up on the fence and walked right up to it on the fence.  I'm like "HOLY STUPID SQUIRREL!"  I thought it would be a blood-bath.  I grab the battery throw it in the camera, but at that time the squirrel had run away a bit and the hawk let him.  Still grabbed a pick of the 2.  Then went through another round of 30 second charging and pic taking.  All in all it stuck around for a bit.  It spotted me through the window along the way and did the side head Jurassic Park one eyed glare.
