Great Goal to Everyone Except 'Arry Redknapp
Worst manager in the world could have a Barcelona like team and still not know how to bring up his players or rotate his squad. I take a lot of joy out of seeing a player that he has frozen out come back to show him up.
Funny thing is if he didn't already have Gio on his squadlist he'd be trying to waste a crap load to get him. He's just weird that way.

Lightning Simplified
Looks like the Tampa Bay Lightning simplified their logo and their jersey. Something I always thought they should've done. Hated the last one, because it was unnecessarily busy. I like the fact that these are simple and to the point. Two toned (I would have maybe retained the black as well). No stupid 3rd dimension to the lightning bolt or a thick outline to overly complicate the logo. Like how their home jerseys have no wordmark on the home jerseys. If anyone disagrees with me you are an idiot. I think Yzerman was the brains behind this operation.

Proof that Message Boards and Comment Sections have
handed the world over to the Idiots on this subject:
- AC says:Looks clean, but the lightning logo looks like a 6 year old drew it!
- Gord says:Not a fan at all. I actually kinda liked their old digs
- bert c says:Yeah they are to plain, should kee the same ones if you ask me…that or come up with a new logo.
Proof that there is at least one level headed individual out there:
- Bugs says:I gotta say, from a Hab perspective, that’s a very nice logo. Simple classic elegant design.
Well done.

Basketballstar Steve Nash shows trick shot in a japanese football ad
Nash can do no wrong. Well, except cheer for the Whitecaps but he made his choice.
Also, wouldn't be surprised if he did this with a medicine ball. Must be related to Chuck Norris in some way.

Wrapped in Plants?
I absolutely love how when a company makes small inroads to address a public awareness issue they plaster it all over their product.
In this case its the chemicals that are found in the actual plastic that forms the bottle that leach into the water. So in this product they divert attention away from that by saying it's made of 30% plant-based materials. Please! If you drop an ice cream cone in load of crap is it still considered ice cream?

Zizou That's Who
For a guy that's been retired for 5 years he looks like he could still play at the highest level. I know his competition wasn't much in this old-timers game, but geez with his movement and passing! Man U should have signed him before the Champions League Final.
Flashback
For some reason I remembered this today. ha

F-F-F-not Thursday!
After watching the Croatia-Georgia qualifier earlier in the afternoon my Dad and I celebrated the win with a shot of rakija and took it to the lawn with a couple of heinekens to play some bocce in the sun. Ya, Zlatkić (red) did his classic starting off slow routine, but then went on an 18 point run. I (green) tried to claw back at the end but alas to no avail! 21-14 final!
Voluntarily stranded

Mona!
Bored during an intermission. Ambush picture capture
Goofing around!
No stopping him at this point
Uh oh! Captured 2 souls plus the horse's
For the love of Eff!! This was a Caddyshack moment. I was closer but my ball moved like a 30 seconds after it originally settled.
Final Score!

Not one bird attacked me. I guess I have to go to the city for that. ha
At one point there was a cow herder (yeah I also thought robots did that these days) who suddenly walked out of the forest in front of me. He was carrying a stick and looked kind of scary. Not gonna say the thought of him attacking me with that stick didn't cross my mind.

Canadian Soccer News and Forum - Away from the storyline
Canadian Soccer News and Forum - Away from the storyline
So Canada played Ecuador to a 2-2 draw last night. I really wanted to go to the game but alas it was my dad's birthday and had to make my way down to Cambridge to celebrate with the fam. Although I missed the game I did get a grassroots taste of my nephew's soccer game, as we all went to watch him. It was one hell of a windy evening, but the sun was out and seeing the little tikes run around and have fun made it worth while. The score was a little lopsided (9-1) for my nephews side, but there was some nice skills from some of the 8 year olds in the game.
I hope to make it to my first Canada game soon. I remember when I was younger and I would watch the games on tv and exhibition stadium was near empty, I still wanted to go.
Hope there's less controversy this go round at the Gold Cup.
Quaintness
Working from a Coffee Culture in downtown Wingham. 4 people said "Hello" to me on the one block walk from TD here. Nice!!!!
