This post is brought to you by Tide!

Another busy weekend. Megs and Keags were in town staying at Sarah's. We did a cool little road trip on Saturday. Went to Peggy's Cove in the morning (I also went back in August). It was a nice weather weekend with lots of sun and wind. It was cool to see the the whitecaps actually do something impressive. The sea was infact like an old man trying to send soup back in a deli on that day.

Then in the afternoon we picked up Sarah (who had school stuff in the morning) and went to check out the Bay of Fundy at Burntcoat Head (has the highest tides in the world). We got there at high tide and looked around and walked around a bit. Then about an hour later you could see the water had receded significantly. We went back down to the beach which was now showing. I was playing around like a kid in a sandbox. Thought it was cool to be walking around somewhere where the water would have been over your head about an hour ago.

Here's some before and after shots:

Cape Crusading

Hit up Cape Breton with Sarah on the weekend and did the Cabot Trail.  Beautiful few days and beautiful sites!

We left on Friday to go stay at Sarah's pal Jana's parents up near Sydney.  About a 4 to 5 hour drive. We followed her up there with a 2 car CONVOY!  Jana and her guy Chris in car 1.  Karl, Sarah and her other pal Brett in the Ford Edge (a rental upgrade).

When we got there it was late and Jana along with her parents were so friggen' nice and hospitable throughout the whole weekend.

On Saturday morning, Sarah, Brett and I drove along the Cabot Trail.  Amazingly warm and sunny day.  Came close to some moose on the walking part.  Then it got dark on us quickly while we were still sight seeing.  Enough talk.  Pictures below.

Coast of His Smile

Had a wicked birthday on Sunday!!  While it rained heavily outside I was spoiled rotten on the inside.  Did get super soaked on a short walk to the LC with Sarah while we thought mother nature was letting up a bit.  But it was all in good fun.

The sun came out yesterday and turned into a pretty nice day.  Didn't get out though until the evening but had a nice walkaroo.  It was really nice and calm.

While I'm at the Rents

So I've had a crazy week in terms of work and late nights.  Side story: My parents think it's shameful to sleep passed 8:30 even on the weekend.  If I had been in a concentration camp and I had been forced to not sleep as part of my torture, this would go right over my parents heads.  Well at least they've softened a bit in the last few years.  So when I was going to bed the other morning I left a note in the kitchen so they wouldn't try and wake me up or make me feel like my life is a disgrace when I did wake up.  Looks like the message got through.

Seem's like a slight pun encouraging me to continue catching Z's.  Didn't matter though.  Still woke up at 9.  Old shaming habits die hard.

Karl's Kell 2 Kill'd

The Jon Voight phone is no more.  Well in 30 days.  Been trying to kill off this branch of the lying and deceptive Solo Mobile tree for the last little while.  Love when you are committed to ending something but the customer service person thinks you are haggling and wont take no for an answer by offering deal after deal.  Sharp contrast from a couple of months ago when I found out Solo was billing me for a number associated with a phone I didn't even have anymore.  I told them I was leaving to try and get a deal or some money back and they basically were saying "Ya right!" with their so called Sorries.

Anyway doesn't matter since the multi-headed monster always wins out in the end.
