Zizou That's Who
For a guy that's been retired for 5 years he looks like he could still play at the highest level. I know his competition wasn't much in this old-timers game, but geez with his movement and passing! Man U should have signed him before the Champions League Final.
Flashback
For some reason I remembered this today. ha

F-F-F-not Thursday!
After watching the Croatia-Georgia qualifier earlier in the afternoon my Dad and I celebrated the win with a shot of rakija and took it to the lawn with a couple of heinekens to play some bocce in the sun. Ya, Zlatkić (red) did his classic starting off slow routine, but then went on an 18 point run. I (green) tried to claw back at the end but alas to no avail! 21-14 final!
Voluntarily stranded

For the love of Eff!! This was a Caddyshack moment. I was closer but my ball moved like a 30 seconds after it originally settled.

Not one bird attacked me. I guess I have to go to the city for that. ha
At one point there was a cow herder (yeah I also thought robots did that these days) who suddenly walked out of the forest in front of me. He was carrying a stick and looked kind of scary. Not gonna say the thought of him attacking me with that stick didn't cross my mind.

Canadian Soccer News and Forum - Away from the storyline
So Canada played Ecuador to a 2-2 draw last night. I really wanted to go to the game but alas it was my dad's birthday and had to make my way down to Cambridge to celebrate with the fam. Although I missed the game I did get a grassroots taste of my nephew's soccer game, as we all went to watch him. It was one hell of a windy evening, but the sun was out and seeing the little tikes run around and have fun made it worth while. The score was a little lopsided (9-1) for my nephews side, but there was some nice skills from some of the 8 year olds in the game.
I hope to make it to my first Canada game soon. I remember when I was younger and I would watch the games on tv and exhibition stadium was near empty, I still wanted to go.
Hope there's less controversy this go round at the Gold Cup.
Quaintness
Working from a Coffee Culture in downtown Wingham. 4 people said "Hello" to me on the one block walk from TD here. Nice!!!!
