Sun Protection/Style Tips for when it's Cloudy
So I had a bit of a redneck experience on the weekend. I got a wicked sunburn on my neck and shoulders (yes I was shirtless in April) this past Saturday. After waking up to a pretty much cloudy day on Easter Sunday, I realized how human I finally was and decided to protect myself from a threat that wasn't even present.
Ingredients:
1. You pick an former or present leader of the Arabic world to mimic based on head-dress.
2. Pick material as neon 90's as possible.
3. Make sure you have a semi-patriotic animal represented on your garment. Respect the land, even if it's not sand!
There you have it. A fully functional Karl Arafat that looks like he's ready for his audition for Waynes World 3 from a distance. Featuring a depiction of the great Canadian Moose resting on that knowledge filled noggin!
Enjoy!
Oh ya! Crocs and socks with rolled up jeans are pretty cool too. Throw that into the mix!

R.I.Pieces - M.P.V.
So I got a call from Jeremy today. He was all quiet. I asked him if everything was okay. He responded, "No!" So naturally I thought something serious was up. He finally fills me in, "They're taking her away." At this point I knew it was about the only one he ever had true feelings for.
So, yada, yada, yada, the Mazda MPV (Michael Peter Vernelli (Jeremy's Dad's name (he couldn't resist buying a car with his initials))) is done after 18 rotations around the sun.
At the surface this affects me very little. But deep down maybe I'll miss that red beast.
Recently it helped me move from my summer sublet to my present place here in Toronto. Last year while the G20 riots were destroying the innocence of this fair town, I was nowhere near. As the MPV had miraculously tipped us off as to what would be happening in just a few short hours and taken us to the safety of Waterloo. Along the way Big M still had time to allow us to enjoy a good ole fashion HomeDepot parking lot Harvey's tailgate party. It lasted 5 minutes!
Back in the day, it was the vehicle that took us to see the Santa Clause starring Tim Allen many years ago. It was the vehicle that picked us after our evening shift at Stack-a-Self. It was never late picking us up. Only late getting us home (slow on the roads) and had a tendency to drive through red lights (once) and after realizing this malfeasance, stopped in the middle of that very intersection. I don't why he did it but I never questioned the majestic MPV.
So tonight I say Cheers to the MPV! May our beers replenish the tears Jeremy will surely be shedding tonight!

I was trying to explain this classic Flanders line to Sarah recently, but this is better than an explanation. Classic Ned!

Me Missing the Mex!
What I would chase if I was there right now.
In actuality it chased me but it was the size of an elephant so I'm not ashamed!

Your Weather: A Dinosaur in the Maitland River - Wroxeter - The Weather Network
I was on the Weather Network website right now checking the forecast and I saw this right under the current temperature in their random picture section with this headline. That's my parent's place on the left so I thought they might be in some prehistoric trouble. Only to find out it was false advertising. I guess I'm relieved!

Fooled ya!
Well just Sarah (for a split second) since she seemed to be my only visitor today.
